You are a gift to this world, you are powerful, majestic, astoundingly vibrant...
You are a Survivor, and this reminder is for you.
You were a victim once, a child of God treated like a plaything for the Devil. You were deceived and confounded possibly by someone close or encroached upon by an unfamiliar. A fragment of you is still there and the rest of you is who we know sincerely, and we love you so much. Most of us will never know you in your entirety and I apologize for not getting to know all of you better. We all apologize for not seeing the contrast in character in times where you are weak, from the lively soul that we all first met, and grew to adore. We forget sometimes that we are all human, and we have the audacity to take judgement before we take time to consider what it feels like to hurt and what it takes to heal...
Those of us that are blessed with the privilege of earning your trust are still naive as to what that Means, in life. We fail to recognize how cruel this world can seem with ourselves as our own enemy, battling nightmares and our own psyche, psyching us out at random. We use blanket statements that are inconsiderate and numb you sometimes. You cry sometimes to yourself and wish that one of us would not ask any questions, but love you in our arms and hold on until the storm has passed... You are Far from a burden my dear, you are Far from inadequate or weak or worthless! You are in fact the opposite in reality, in our eyes, in our biased perspective, in our relationship with you as a Supporter and/or a Partner. you are a beacon light, a star shining brightly in the dark omnipresence of space, an Angel among us. You are Beautiful, so Beautiful.
We don't know what to do or how to 'fix' things at times and we admit that, but terms get jumbled and 'fix this' blurs into 'fix you'. I love Coldplay, and the reference to the song is correlated deeper than the unintended effect it leaves you with and that makes us feel contrite for even hinting that you 'are' some type of problem. We are blessed and cursed as humanity to manifest perspectives, because the orientation can be interpreted so well and right or just so wrong and hurtful. Some days we try to offer our perspective to uplift you, but we expect too much too soon which is OUR fault, not yours. In love, in an honest relationship between family, friends or otherwise tend to bleed the joys and the pains of our separate worlds together, but no-one has a manual or guidebook on how to handle that properly when it happens... The best we can do in consideration of each other is summed up by Teddy; “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”

I have personally loved so hard and so strong, and attempted to break my back to be an ally in healing, and I personally wasn't prepared. None of us are really prepared for this; every 2 minutes someone in the United States is sexually assaulted, there are about 213,000 victims every year, 44% of those victims under the age of 18, 80% under 30, 60% of these catastrophes are not reported to police, 2/3rds are commited by someone known to the victim, 15 out of 16 of these vile fucktards never spend a day in jail, 38% of them are a friend or an acquaintance... 1 out of 6 women have been compromised.... Those of us that you trust with the knowledge of an inkling of what you go through, see these statistics, and freak out.... Victims of sexual assault are 3X more likely to suffer from depression, 4X more likely to commit suicide, 6X more to suffer from
PTSD,
13X more likely to abuse alcohol and
26X more likely to abuse drugs... Sometimes we watch you take a drink... or seem sadder than usual, and totally exacerbate the situation inadvertently...
We will always love you, and love you with everything we are. We can make you feel weird sometimes because of how we change when we try to overcompensate, but if you know in your heart that we want to see you happy every day you grace this earth with your presence, then hug yourself tightly right now for all of us supporters, because I can't hold you from here. You are Appreciated, I am, we are, lucky to have you here and alive with us today, and we hope to brighten this day for you and many more to come. I wrote this to remind you that the strength you yield to attack another day is the inspiration that we embrace. Like sunlight to a rose we bask in your exuberance and bloom, and we wilt with you when gloom looms overhead. We want to do anything in our power to remind you that you are more than just that girl I like, or my friend that I hang with. We want you to know that you aren't just a survivor, but you are so Beautiful. I mean every syllable of every word in every run-on sentence, I mean to remind you of your self-worth, and your shoulders of support that are always here if you ever need someone to lean on.
