I am as Romantic as your understanding of life. We are young, and the idea of being attractive may be tied to youth visually in your perspective. It may also be attributed to your journey and how you have overcome obstacles while remaining mostly intact. You look in the mirror and are proud of certain things, and might also be saddened at how some of your features have changed or not changed in accordance to your ideal. The perception of yourself physically and mentally are under constant fire, and I wanted to clarify some things;
When I love you, I love who you are, where you have come from and where you seem to be going. This isn't about your features fading or looking better, nor about how we had our issues then or now, this is about what I fell in love with and wont stop loving. This is about me acknowledging reality and accepting it regardless of the circumstance.
The person that I see today will be the same that I love next year and so on. While you watch your hair grey I will watch you become more gorgeous. While you try to break your back to be more impressive to yourself and others, I am lost in how much I want to get to know you, and how many days I might have left until I've loved and lost either in my life expiring or you leaving my side. If you ever wonder to yourself in doubt, and question your being, watch me smile at you again. Look closer. There is a tender love in my eyes, and it is merely for your existence and your presence in mine.
I believe that we are all here to set examples. I know in my heart we aren't all doctors or models or cooks or liars, we are diversity and experiences. We are men and women, we are human. If you accept that you may or may not accomplish your dreams as you set forth to do so, then also accept I'm way ahead of you regardless of how much I want to support you accomplishing them. Realize that I just want to love and take care of you for as long as I'm promised my precious visit here. Realize you will get 'old and ugly' and I will still call you my sexy thang and be your good friend. Realize that some of us including myself may or may not be a part of your life soon, but there is unconditional love that is the undertone and constant.
